My name is Gabriel Daltoso. I have been a frontend developer for more than a decade, building interfaces and systems for the web.
Over the years, I have worked on different kinds of products, from developer tools to platforms used by thousands of people every day. I especially enjoy interface architecture, design systems, and tooling that makes development more consistent and productive.
I am also the creator and maintainer of the open source project React95, a React component library inspired by the classic Windows 95 interface.
I like understanding how things work from the inside out and building them piece by piece. That appears both in my work and in my hobbies.
Watches

I enjoy assembling my own watches, choosing each component with care: case, dial, hands, and strap, creating unique combinations that have their own personality. This process appeals to me because it blends precision, aesthetics, and patience, as if each piece had a specific role until the whole finally makes sense.
Beads

It is a hands-on and detail-oriented activity that transforms pixel art into something physical, aligning small pieces as if each one were a pixel.
It is a hobby that does me a lot of good, because it helps me step away from the fast pace of everyday life. When I am focused on it, I can distance myself from social media and screens for longer, clear my mind, and enjoy a calmer, more present moment.
At the end of the day, all these things are variations of the same process: organize small parts carefully until something interesting appears.
This blog is where I share ideas, projects, experiments, and what I am learning along the way.
